- Camarillo Animal Shelter and Rescue Me Inc. are dedicated to finding homes for EVERY ONE of the shelter’s homeless animals from 9-4 on July 25th at 600 Aviation Drive. 6th Annual Hugs, Slurps & Slobbers Silent auction, raffle, entertainment, vendors and celebs. Service animals and day of event newly adopted animals will be permitted.
Cardiff-by-the-Sea
- Cardiff Dog Days of Summer is the biggest dog event in southern California drawing people from all over the county. We have many rescue groups attend as well as dog related businesses. There is a kids zone as well as various dog contests and agility courses. 8/14/2010

- The Puppy Mill Awareness Day festival will include keynote speakers, animal advocacy and welfare education booths, as well as vendors, live entertainment and activities for children. Adoptable pets from local rescue groups as well as Los Angeles city shelters will also be available for adoption. September 18th, 2010
San Francisco
- Dog Days on July 13 through August 28 2010. The subject of this exhibit does not refer to summer heat but quite literally, dogs. Some of the outstanding artists who will participate are Ray Meeks, Vee Speers, Natalie Young, Cig Harvey, Aline Smithson, Bill Mattick, Giacomo Brunelli among others.
Santa Clara

- Fun and educational camps for third through eighth graders! Send your child to one of the Dumb Friends League's summer camps for a howling good time! Experienced and enthusiastic staff, guest speakers and some cuddly critters will help your child learn about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership through activities, games and crafts. Week-long Critter Camps are available throughout the summer, and there are three four-day sessions of Critter Career Camp. All camps last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. 6/7/2010-9/13/2010
Winter Park
- The Grand County Doggie Drag is our yearly fundraiser, it takes place Aug 14, 2010. All funds go toward the spaying/neuter of the shelter animals and any medical care that they might need to receive.
