In 1993, Maggie Mae came to live with us in our Poodle family of six. She was apricot in color and the most gentle, sweet little girl. She came to us as a puppy never needing any direction on how to live in our home. She was born to be my “Girl.” My gentle girl gave me 16 years of total, absolute LOVE.
In her twilight years, she tried so hard to be no bother and do everything right, even though she was mostly blind and arthritic. We had to let her go on February 2, 2009. My heart still hurts every day but she will watch over me until I can cross the Rainbow Bridge and be with her for eternity.
I too know how you feel.
Mom, this is a wonderful tribute to your Maggie Mae. I miss her lots too, and believe she was your "soul" dog, some of us are not fortunate enough to have a soul dog in their lifetime, but I know Maggie was yours, as Annabelle is mine..She will be watching over you until you meet again..Love you and miss you Maggie Mae...hugs~ Lisa
